Introduction to the class and Bells Purchase
Greetings! All of you have registered your child (or children) to be a part of the Prodigies Music Class. I can't tell you how excited I am to bring music theory into the lives of your students in this colorful and interactive format. My name is Katie Huffman and I was a General Music teacher in the 501 district for 8 years. During that time, I was introduced to the Preschool Prodigies curriculum, but the format of the classes and the limited resources of the public school system left me unable to teach the program to its fullest. I am excited to bring to your student the full experience. If you want to learn a bit more about the music program you signed up for, here is a short promotional video:

As you can see from the video, the main instrument used in this program is a set of desk bells. These are bells that can be played with a single tapping motion, and not the bells you have to pick up and "ring". You will be responsible for providing your own set of bells for your student. If you have two kids in the same class, they each need their own set. If you have a child in Kindergarten and one in 1st/2nd, they can "pass off" bells between classes. Preschool Prodigies bells available at this website:
They are $69 and will be on back order until September 1st. It's alright if we won't have the bells right at the beginning of the school year. We can sing and do the hand signs until the bells get here.
There is also an option on Amazon for $20 cheaper. They are sold by outside sources and may or may not be exactly the same. If you want to take a chance, I can't blame you. Worst case scenario, you have to return them and wait for the back ordered bells, anyway.
In the meantime, Prodigies Bells are available as an app on Android and IOS. They wouldn't be appropriate in a class setting, but they would be fun for your student to play while they wait for the real thing!
Search Prodigies Bells on your favorite app store!
For the class, please provide a 3 ring binder for your student to store their workbook pages. I will be printing off sheets each week for you to work on at home.
Finally, just in case I didn't get back to you on payment, please mail me a check for $65 to the following address
(email me for details)
Payment info is ONLY FOR THE 1st/2nd MUSIC CLASS. K Adventures people pay through Kimberly Young.
I think I covered everything! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. If you want to purchase bells outside of my suggestions, please ask me about them first since they are very specific instruments. Thanks!!
