Discontinuing the Prodigies Videos Yikes!  Okay,today I paid closer attention to the Terms and Conditions of my Prodigies Lifetime Membership and realized I have been in violation of those terms by giving you free access to the lesson videos at home.  Here's the really scary part:  If I get caught, I could lose my Lifetime Membership and no longer have access to these brilliant materials!  So, all that to say, I am no longer going to provide the weekly lesson links for you.  If you would like to continue having the lessons at home, there is a monthly subscription that you can sign up for.  It is normally $20, but right now they are running a special for $13.99.   Sorry for the confusion, I got excited to have this brand new curriculum and did not pay attention to the fine print.  You of course do not have to subscribe to the videos to continue my class.  Just have your student play along with the sheet music I send home a...

Bells Carrying Case Idea #3

A big thank you to Michelle Waltman for sharing her bells case design!  If anyone has anymore ideas, please feel free to email me so I can share them here! "We ended up with a plastic tool box lined with foam and foam glued to the top of the box.  I got both items for less than $15 at Walmart.  The foam was a set of chair pads from the fabric dept.  I'm saying all of this in case anyone else asks or needs ideas...lol.  Or maybe I am the only one that overthinks this stuff...lol " "I did add the cardboard dividers that came with the bells but I am going to look for something plastic to replace it."

Carrying Case Information

I had a few people ask me about carrying cases for the bells.  I did a preliminary search and found a soft case on Amazon.  It was originally made for hand bells, but I'm not sure which brand or type. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002F5CUQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As you can see, the bells fit rather snug.  There are dividers, but they do not separate all the bells.  I feel confident this would work for me since I like the compact size of the case and I can make a point to be gentle with them.  Here is my son carrying the case for reference.  He's 4.  You can't tell from the picture, but the bells were ringing in the black case, which made him want to jump and jiggle the bells all the more, making my heart sink in to my stomach. Introduction to the class and Bells Purchase

Greetings!  All of you have registered your child (or children) to be a part of the Prodigies Music Class.  I can't tell you how excited I am to bring music theory into the lives of your students in this colorful and interactive format.  My name is Katie Huffman and I was a General Music teacher in the 501 district for 8 years.  During that time, I was introduced to the Preschool Prodigies curriculum, but the format of the classes and the limited resources of the public school system left me unable to teach the program to its fullest.  I am excited to bring to your student the full experience.  If you want to learn a bit more about the music program you signed up for, here is a short promotional video: Prodigies Promo Video As you can see from the video, the main instrument used in this program is a set of desk bells.  These are bells that can be played with a single tapping motion, and not the bells you have to pick up and "ring".  ...
